Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American performer, actress and songwriter for several years. As a child, Sara was racially taunted by American citizens of all races. Her confidence began to grow at the age of nineteen when she appeared in an audition. She was praised for her singing. It not only increased her confidence but her dreams changed. The 22-year-old earned an education from the Julliard School in New York. She started her professional journey at age 23 with Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and The You've Got Mail film. The most notable achievement of her career was with her portrayal of The Lady of The Lake on Spamalot's original Broadway production. Not only did she get the Tony Award, but her performance was also praised by critics. Following that, in 2007, she was a cast member on the ABC show Grey's Anatomy and became more well-known. She is known as a performer and released her own single and an extended play. Also, she's been an advocate for LGBT issues.
