Suzy Kolber (born Suzanne Lisa Kolber) was born in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia on May 14, 1964. Her parents are Jewish. The age she is now is 58 years old. The name of her mother is Sandra Kolber and her father is Gene Kolber. She graduated from Upper Dublin High School in Pennsylvania as well as Sandy Run Middle School. She later graduated from the University of Miami in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in telecommunications. She landed a job as a sports director at Dynamic Cable in Coral Gables Florida while she was still an undergraduate college student. She was also employed by Dynamic Cable for two years, from 1984 until 1986. Also, she was part of the University of Miami water skiing team at the time. As a child, Plaza was a part of community theatre in her native Wilmington acting performing improv and directing one-act plays. Her move into New York City after high school to study television and film production at the New York University Tisch School of the Arts as well as taking classes in comedy in the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Following her graduation of high school, she moved into New York City. There, she attended classes in improv in the theatre of Upright Citizens Brigade and learned about film and television production at the Tisch School for the Arts. The school graduated her in the year 2006.
