Ina Gardner is the author of numerous famous American cookery books. Ina also hosts Barefoot Contessa on Food Network. The show has been running since 2002. Ina started her career with nuclear energy policy and budgets to the White House. In the beginning, she was enthralled by the intellectual stimulation of the job, but quickly stopped her interest. Instead she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty store for food. Prior to selling the company the store, she worked for more than 18 years building it to an extremely successful business. Others followed, and so were magazine articles. Her Food Network TV show also debuted which was an enormous success. Ina sells a variety of items, from the ingredients needed for cooking, to kitchenware and storage. Ina never went to an institution for cooking or was she employed in a dining establishment. She is entirely self-taught. She is well-known for her effortless style of entertainment as well as her simple cooking. The most well-known recipes she has created are Lemon chicken skeillet-roasted as well as Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon, the Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts & Lemon Bars.
